Part 2 in the Series of 6 for our monthly series of table runners or toppers during 2023. Lisa Braasch will be instructing you in the construction of various table runners or toppers from the Doug Leko book “Town Square”. Classes will be on a Saturday during each month starting in February. Planning on doing all 6 projects? Sign up and we will give you the pattern book free! (A $24.95 value!). You will need to bring your own materials for each project with the book and your usual sewing equipment, including sewing machine, cutters, rulers, etc., for a fun day each time. We will show you how to cut the project and then sew the remainder of the day. Most of the projects are for beginners to intermediate quilters. As time permits, you may even receive some instructions on some of the other quilt projects included in the book.
Have fun in selecting fabrics for each project. Some of these can easily be made with seasonal fabrics to showcase a holiday. The last project, Star Light, will require the use of a specialty ruler to make the LeMoyne Star without having to use set-in seams. Unless specifically listed, binding yardage is included with the fabric requirements listed as it it may be cut from either the main print, one of the accent prints or one of the contrast prints. Only the Market Square quilt will require a pieced back, as all others are on the lengthwise grain.
You will need to purchase the Doug Leko book Town Square which has all of the instructions for the projects. If you want to use the specialty ruler for Star Light, it is the Rapid Fire LeMoyne Star Ruler by Studio 180 Designs.
