Bernina Straight Stitch/CutWork Combo Stitch Plate 8 Series

The stitch plate, also known as a needle or throat plate, covers the stitching area of a sewing machine, leaving the feed dog exposed and an opening for the needle. BERNINA stitch plates are easily removable without the use of tools for ease in cleaning the feed dog area.

Each machine comes equipped with a stitch plate designed for the widest stitch available on that particular model – 5.5 or 9 mm. Other stitch plates are optional accessories that accommodate specific accessories and/or are used for certain techniques.

The stitch plates are color coded at the center upper edge for easy, at-a-glance recognition.
