About Annette:
As a young child, Annette watched with fascination as her grandmother sewed and mended. She carried that curiosity into her own life when, as a young child, she sewed doll clothes by hand, just like in the “olden days.” She purchased her first sewing machine, a BERNINA 930, shortly after graduating from high school, and while her husband pursued his degree, she attended classes in tailoring and alterations.
BERNINA sewing machines are a topic of passion that Annette brings to the classroom. Often, her first question to customers is “What are your favorite sewing projects?” this opens the gateway to finding the BERNINA Sewing machine that will bring their fun, creative imaginations to life.
Annette has a patient, gentle teaching style and enjoys teaching as students unlock their own potential, bringing the wonder of creative possibilities to life. We learn together as students enhance their skills and share their experiences. She delights in watching her students light up with joy as they learn new skills and explore a world of creative opportunities with their machine
Annette enjoys teaching tips and tricks to make projects easy and fun. Ask her about magical flying geese or how to sew a perfect hem on a skirt. From sewing machines to overlockers, Annette is comfortable with both and almost always uses a combination of both machines for her projects. She has experience with wedding & prom dresses, costume design, dance dresses, quilting and crafty home dec projects
Life is a journey and being creative brings joy into our world of experience while building friendships and expanding our vision of creating on any level. This is what Annette loves about her work.
