- [ ] Press Your Seams: Ensure all seams on the quilt top and backing are pressed flat. This prevents "bulk" that can cause needle breaks or uneven stitching.
- [ ] Clip Loose Threads: Trim any stray threads, especially dark threads that might show through light-colored fabrics.
- [ ] Mark the "Top": If your quilt top or backing is directional (has a specific "up" side), please pin a small note indicating the TOP.
