"This unique quilting opportunity will be completely virtual via a Facebook Group. This will be a mystery quilt project titled ""All you need is love"". You will have the opportunity to attend live or you can watch it at a later time. The Live Virtual Class will take place on 2/20/2024, 3/5/2024, 3/19/2024, 4/2/2024, 4/23/2024, 5/7/2024, 5/21/2024, 6/11/2024, 6/25/2024, 7/9/2024, 7/23/2024, 8/6/2024 at 1:00 PM CST.
When John Lennon from the Beatles penned the words ""All you need is love, love is all you need."" he wanted to send a strong message to the world that love is everything, and he was absolutely right! But we must remember that God is LOVE (1John 4:8). As such, God is all we need. God is everything. The Bible references love over 300 times, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament. We will spend time discussing several of these Bible verses while sewing along together the blocks to create your own beautiful and unique creation.
Your entry fee places you into the facebook group and gives you access to the Virtual class. You also each week will receive the pattern and the project will roll out over a 12 session time frame. The first page of each week's pattern includes a Bible passage and devotional message. The second page includes the block pattern instructions. The final page of each pattern includes a description of why the pattern writer chose the block to represent the verse and a space for your personal reflection. You may choose to reflect on the Bible verse, reflect on your experience when making the block, or write a message to the future recipient of this quilt. The goal is to use the space however you wish. I'm hoping that our facebook group can be very interactive with discussion around the bible verses.
Because of the references to love, the quilt can be constructed as a traditional Valentine quilt using Valentine fabrics, or it can be constructed in any fabric color way you choose. Fabric estimates for the blocks and requirements for sashing/borders/binding are included below. The quilt includes one fusible applique block and eleven traditionally-pieced blocks. This is a great way to use up stash from your fabric collection.

Rectangle Border Strips - 1-3/4 yards (Directional Print LOF (2-1/2 yards)
