The BERNINA 500 E includes two hoops: a Medium (3.9" × 5.1") and a Large Oval (5.7" × 10.0"). That Large Oval is the workhorse — wide enough for statement pieces, borders, and multi-position designs that smaller machines simply can’t accommodate.

The 500 E’s jumbo bobbin holds significantly more thread than standard bobbins, which means fewer stops mid-design. Dense fill work and large embroidery projects run from start to finish without the frustration of running out at the worst possible moment.

THREAD AWAY MODE — CLEAN RESULTS WITHOUT MANUAL TRIMMING
Thread Away Mode pulls thread ends to the underside automatically after each color change, so the top of your embroidery is clean from the first stitch. No manual trimming. No loose threads to deal with. Combined with the automatic thread cutter that cuts and lifts the needle in one step, finishing your work is as precise as starting it.
