From Omaha (about 30 minutes)

The drive from Omaha to Nebraska Quilt Company is one of the easiest regional drives in the state. Take West Dodge Road to US-275 North and you're on a clear highway shot straight to Fremont — no city traffic, very few stoplights, no construction headaches. Most customers from Elkhorn, West Omaha, and the Dodge Street corridor tell us it feels faster than driving across Omaha would. Park right downtown, walk in.

From Lincoln (about 60 minutes)

Take I-80 East to US-77 North and follow it into Fremont. It's a straightforward highway drive through open Nebraska countryside. Many of our Lincoln customers combine the trip with a stop in Fremont for lunch — downtown has good options within walking distance of the store.

From Norfolk, Columbus, Schuyler, and the surrounding area

If you're north or west of Fremont, we're often the closest full-service sewing machine dealer with this range of inventory, classes, and on-site repair. Many customers in these areas make NQC their regular destination for fabric, machines, and service because there's simply no comparable option closer.

Nebraska Quilt Company is Nebraska's largest quilt shop — 20,000 square feet in a historic downtown building with 14-foot ceilings and original wood floors. We carry thousands of fabric bolts, a full machine showroom with working floor models you can try before you buy, an on-site repair department, and a classroom schedule that runs year-round.

This isn't a quick in-and-out trip. Most customers who make the drive plan to spend at least an hour or two. Some make a full day of it.

If you're coming specifically for a machine purchase or to look at pre-owned inventory, call ahead — we can make sure someone is available to spend time with you and that we have the right models on the floor for your interests.

We also offer loaner machines for customers whose machine is in for service, so if you're dropping off a repair, you won't be without a machine while you wait.
