Scott Flanagan of 4th & Main Designs, who got his start right here at this shop in 2007, is releasing his "perfect collection" called 4th & Main Favorites. The first project for this collection is the Starry Sampler Block of the Month Quilt Kit finishing at a size of 80" X 92".
One of Scott's favorite things about this pattern is the use of same blocks in two different sizes. Overall, the quilt includes three different blocks sizes: 24", 12", and 6". The use of these different sizes throughout the quilt help to acheive a sense of movement and flow, which is what makes sampler quilts so eye-catching.
Often, Scott's quilts feature a lot of one background print and usually they are within the lighter tones. Starry Sampler features a variety of backgrounds using the darker tones in this collection with light stars shimmering over the surface.
